Site Purpose
Having participated on several different discussion boards that are geared towards truck drivers, and the trucking industry, I've noticed one common, pervading similarity in all of them. They are recruiting boards. Therefore, the free exchange of information tends to be severely inhibited by the fact that the advertisers don't want a bad light cast on their particular company, or the industry in general. I was actually a member of one board, where the word heartless (Heartland express??) was actually censored. That's pretty damn extreme. So, I figured, what the heck, find a free host, start a board, and anybody can say what they want. So, if you're looking at getting into the trucking industry, or if you already have, and can't seem to figure out why you're losing your ass, or not making the big bucks like they told you you would, then this is the place for you. You can ask questions here, and the answers won't be censored due to advertisers complaints, because there are no advertisers. Just remember, truck drivers tend to veer toward one of two extremes. Either completely full of crap, or brutally, unwaveringly honest. As a result, you're not always going to hear what you want to. Don't cry to me if somebody's mean to you. Just give as good as you get, and carry on. Also, this ain't the CB. If you tell some big story that sounds completely unbelievable, you'll likely be challenged. So if you must stick your neck out, don't complain if it gets whacked. Happy posting.
