No, PTD, I did not. What I said the last two times, is that George W. Bush is not qualified to be president. Guess what! I was right. You are, as usual, Lars, wrong. Like it or not, George W. Bush is qualified to be president. He may not be too bright, he may not be competent and, lords knows, he's no where near as amusing as your beloved Clintoons but he is qualified. You, on the other hand, are NOT qualified.

George W. Bush is qualified to be president. I wouldnt reveal my stupidity so much as to say this.

Lugnut- 09-05-2007

George W. Bush is qualified to be president. I wouldnt reveal my stupidity so much as to say this. What would you say that reveals your stupidity?

Phil- 09-05-2007

George W. Bush is qualified to be president. I wouldnt reveal my stupidity so much as to say this. What would you say that reveals your stupidity?  What he said works fine; it's merely an indication that neither he, nor Lars, understands the difference between 'qualified' and 'competent'.

Bunch of right-wing morons

Bush is not the first president to be hermetically sealed in an Oval Office bubble. But in the interest of fair and balanced punditry, we need to note that -- in addition to this president's willful incuriousness, ignorance and incompetence -- the willfully dysfunctional Bush presidency has nevertheless been a true team effort http://capitolhillblue.com/cont/node/3306 A true team effort of incompetence.    No, it aint funny, it is sad and pathetic that this sick bastard has gotten this country in the shape that we are in today.

What saddens me is the fact anyone can "hate" with such venom and loathing. It's not healthy for the soul. imho. I am a supporter of many of Bush's actions, I am certainly against many of his actions also. I thought that Bill Clinton was a reprehensible individual, as was his co-president. But I never in my wildest dreams found time to hate either of them. And should the co-president be elected to her own throne, I will not be pleased, but I will not hate. Take time to smell the roses .. but remember, many of them are grown in bull shit .... you may get a whiff of that also.

Lowbed- 09-05-2007

If Bush isn't qualified, a lot of people that voted for him you might say are not qualified to vote.

Nocount- 09-05-2007

What saddens me is the fact anyone can "hate" with such venom and loathing. It's not healthy for the soul. imho I literally despise the son of a bitch!!! Now! Can I express my hatred for the man any plainer????? Bad for my health, at 72 I aint worrying too much.

Lars- 09-05-2007

Actually, the prior record of GWB should have disqualified him from becoming president, but a well funded and skillful PR campaign fooled enough people. His incompetence, which he did not acquire after the election, is now rather evident to the majority of the population. To me, and many others, it was evident before his appointment to the office. I hope experience will be a major issue in the next election. We have seen what happens when it is absent.

Lugnut- 09-05-2007

I wonder if Lars has figured out Hoffa is alive and doing fine? Knowing him I doubt it.

zigzag- 09-05-2007

Actually, the prior record of GWB should have disqualified him from becoming president, but a well funded and skillful PR campaign fooled enough people. al gore and john kerry are the reasons bush is president, how many people voted for Bush versus how many people voted against the guys who ran against Bush. he could probably get elected again if he could run and Hillary was the other person running, people would go and vote against the person they hated most. I hope hillary is the next president, the entertainment value will be worth the damage she does.

R.I.P. Consolidated Freightways Hoffa When I was elected in 1998, CF, a union shop, was spun-off in 1996 to a standalone entity Not that the head of a union could do much, but maybe the spinoff could have been different if somebody actually raised hell about it.

saddletramp- 09-10-2007

they spun off CF as a seperate company and conway remained part of the orgional company, all they did was chuck 15,000 union people out the door. And the Teamsters just sit on their asses and let this happen. This is where I really have a problem. When are the unions of this country going to grow a "backbone" and stand up to corporate America instead of being their "whore"? If Jimmy Hoffa had gotten control of the Teamsters back and the government hadnt had him killed, you would not have seen this type of shit happen. But here we are, on the verge of the invasion of Mexican trucks, almost thirty years after deregulation, and what is going to happen?-----------NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Short of going out to Menlo Park and busting in the front door with their guns blazing yelling "You keep this sumbitch open!!!", what could the Teamsters have done that would have kept the company's doors open?? CNF bled CF dry while pumping all the money into Conjob (conway), and there was nothing the Teamsters could have done to stop it; be it with opening up the contract or "givebacks"..................
