There is something seriously wrong with that lying scumbag.
He gets caught red handed, again, and still makes up some BS. At least be a man about it and admit it.He isn't going to admit anything. He will say those here are "spineless" while he continues to show he's gutless.
Ziggy has it right, Consolidated ditched the Union and turned to nothing more than low paying dweller trucks. I've checked into Conway in the past and there's no way I would ever work for them.

They're actually one of the top-paying LTL's. Health insurance is very good and low-priced. They recently ditched their pension-plan, but upped 401k contrbutions. The issue I have with them is 5 years to top rate - I feel that's a bit too steep when other non-union outfits top-out in 3 and the union LTL's in 2.
They run a single-board seniority system so you can jump from city to linehaul and vice-versa without losing your seniority.

If that is what you call top paying I'll pass. But then Conway is allot more than LTL and their other ventures are a bit bigger. Like their truck load side. Wouldn't work for them for anything. All I could figure is they're just another low paying bunch of liars. Say what they have to to get you in their truck.

I would take issue with your opinion.
5 years is not too much to ask to hit top.
This filters mooches and keeps the lifers.
Two years to hit top is not practical from a business operators positition.
JMHO and you have a right to yours.
Why make it too easy for the short-timers to hit top? This devalues the lifers.
zigzag- 09-03-2007
dwellers just don't get it.
Too not have a begle pulled on you, you don't want most drivers making less than you or out the door you go to cut labor costs.

Well, around here they top-out at about $23.00 per hr for city men and linehaul tops-out at .54 cpm. OT after 8 and 40 hours. If you can find a better-paying trucking job then that, then more power to ya'.
All I could figure is they're just another low paying bunch of liars. Say what they have to to get you in their truck.
I'd say all trucking companies are like that. The difference in LTL is that there's still a threat of unionization. Like when I had a seniority issue at FedEx where I had to go over the TM's head. The very next day, the problem got fixed and from what I heard, the TM got an earful from the top brass. Did they act so quickly because I was a valued associate? Nope, it's because Teamsters Local 507 is right down the street.
The dweller companies get away with all kinds of crap because their drivers have no bargaining power. Remember when JB Hunt rolled back pay by a nickel a mile about 5 years ago? No way they'd even THINK about that if there was a union there.
Dwellers are moe-rons.

Conway Truck load is a pay per mile outfit and it is all teams, they suck and yes I can find better than they pay.

A man is hired to drive. Carriers such as this have the luxury of hiring only experienced and those with a good safety record. So therefore, there is no reason for a tiered pay system. It is simply another rip-off to employ cheap labor. Seniority gives better work assignments.
Line haul pays a flat mileage, no overtime. Teamster pays clock for accessorial work.
YELLOW/ABF is keeping the union to cover it's driver's health and retirement costs. They can pretty much ignore or get around contract work rules as MOE-RONS (much as yourself) not only work cheaply, but supply expensive power cheaply. You and yours make it very difficult for a driver to make a decent wage.
It's not all that hard to figure out. Drivers push too hard, a carrier changes operations. A carrier does not want to be Teamster, they either change the name and/or sell it off.

so when do we overthrow the goverment?
When Hillary becomes president and we watch the hysterics kill themselves and each other.

When Hillary becomes president
I guess never, then.

I would not rule it out. She has some hurdles to make yet, but regardless, it will be the Democratic primary voters who will elect the next president.
None of the Above still leads on the GOP side.

No, PTD, I did not. What I said the last two times, is that George W. Bush is not qualified to be president.
Guess what! I was right.
