The business of "incarceration" is a good example. It needs a criminal element to stay in business so who better to target than those who can't afford to defend themselves. You would think that a consumerist society who have more 'property, criminals but I think most of the US prison population is for selling drugs....go figure!!?? Anyway, it takes a lot of co-ordination to keep that criminal element functioning, from beat cops to appointed judges and to the media who publish re-affirming statistics for morons like you to dessiminate under the guise of......................what, exactly???? .

Statistics like this are meaningless, Given how hard it is to get arrested for anything here, it certainly shows a very high incidence of UTTERLY STUPID in the demographics being discussed, whatever your excellent observation skills garnered from living up there in the Great Almost All White North, and the alledged 'diversity' therein, as represented by That Korean Guy who owns a convenience store 10 miles away or whatever.

It shows (allow me to explain this for the less fortunate among us) that blacks account for 60% of serious crime while comprising only 20-30% of the population (arguably as to how could you actually get an accurate head count). And, it's arguable just how many hispanics get counted as white as well int hose stats; when it comes to government records, they can claim whichever ethnicity they want, white or hispanic, and state governments like California will deliberately fudge their status in whatever way suits their agenda, as in 'hate crime' statistics, for example. It looks bad when the public knows over 90% of racially motivated 'hate crimes' are committed by minorities, which is why states like Oregon and California had to rewrite the laws to hide this fact, after truly embarrassing first year statistics hit the media back in the 80's.

This is my point. What it actually shows are how many "blacks" are in prison. And, in case the point is missed, the numbers of actual inmates, of other races, is also mentioned. So what we're talking about is the racial demographics of the prison population. I'd have to see the facts of each case before I'd agree that they're responsible for the crimes for which they're imprisoned. Like I said, the perception that non-whites are a threat to law and order, runs deep in American culture. Problem or Solution??
Well, for most of my life, I have heard that the government was the problem, not the solution. In the past several days, we have witnessed the very opposite. A private corporation falls on hard times and then they run to the government to bail them out. Where are the supporters of the "free-market"? The "free-market" has suddenly turned into "Socialism". Just a few days ago, Bush stood and made an emphatic statement that there would not be anymore bail-outs. Well, Bush is eating his words now. Although, he has never been known to utter the truth anyway, so who raised an eye-brow with another lie from his mouth. The government; problem or solution????? Tell us Mr. President!
