During Fay, I was thinking about if you were "floating" or not. I know I was in Orlando last Wed. nite and Thur. morning and it got a little nasty. It was not too bad until I turned off of 1-95 unto 1-4 and from there to Orlando I kept it under the speed limit. Then after I got empty in Orlando and started back up the road, I eased along like a gentleman. How did you fare? I figure that where you live got hit worse than any part of Florida. You aint been ate by a gator?????? No, I know that, a damn gator aint going to eat a "Danish" :lol: :lol:

We did quite well. We got copious amounts of rain for four days. Over 20 inches of it. The winds were not all that bad and we have hurricane shutters on the balconies of our condo. I am still spending the middle of the weeks in Miami at my church project. Right now we are being held up by permitting, but once that is solved and I hope it will be soon. We are having some cost overruns, partly due to increases in the cost of materials, but I have also learned that if clergy had nobody to tell them no, we would have a lot of cathedrals everywhere. Besides, you of all people should know how contentious it can get when you are dealing with committed Christians. Endless discussions about which shade of white should be used is one example. If you are in the Orlando area on a weekend, let me know. I can't remember who bought the coffee last time, but we can always flip a coin.

Well, my laboring under the sum is paying pretty good and when I get done, I will leave something extraordinary behind. We are framing up the new front of the church and when I showed it yesterday, the pastor started to cry. There is satisfaction in creating something beautiful that will last for generations. But I can understand why you don't go to church, Jim. You are too cranky for most people.... :D
