You had better pull your head out of your ass and start taking a hard look at what is going on around you. The recruitment of illegals is alive and well and has been going on for some time. Perhaps it's not me with his head up his ass. Read what you linked. I failed to see any reference to acccepting ILLEGAL Aliens. The recruitment of criminals is nothing new,it was a choice given by Judges during my youth. Maybe I need to rub your nose in it? And then there are the foreigners. About 35,000 non-citizens are currently serving on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces, while another 12,000 serve in the Reserve Components. The navy has the largest proportion of non-citizens on active duty, almost 16,000, nearly half the total. The Marine Corps has about 6,500, the Army about 5,000, and the Air force about 3,000. The differences are the result of variations in the service regulations governing the re-enlistment of non-citizens. The Navy and Marine Corps place no restrictions, while the Army allows them to stay in for only 8 years of service, and the Air Force limits them to no more than 6. This is to encourage the non-citizen troops to become naturalized citizens. But naval tradition, the world over, has long tolerated non-citizens serving on ships for their entire careers. All services encourage non-citizens to apply for citizenship at the earliest opportunity, and many do. Some aliens in the service have been granted U.S. citizenship posthumously. Non-citizens appear to make better soldiers and sailors. This can best be seen by their lower attrition rates. During their first three months of service, the attrition rate for citizens was nearly 11-percent, while that for non-citizens was just under 6-percent. At the 36 month mark, the attrition rate for citizens was approximately 32-percent, as against slightly under 19-percent for non-citizens. Maybe I need to rub your nose in it? Try again. Non Citizens does not equal Illegal Aliens. Maybe you need to wander back to TWIT.NET as you seem to be having a little trouble with your reading comprehension... Maybe you need a refresher course concerning definitions.

In general the bottom of the labor force live in high desity urban areas and if enough grown men are standing around on the streets without jobs, they will all start thinking it is just them out of work because the unemployed suburb people will be invisable to them and they will know any job openings aren't going to them. The americans will take care of their own kind and leaving them out in the cold. If I had a mexican doing my lawn and my brother or neighbor lost their job, I sure wouldn't be paying the mexican to do it when one of the people I know needs the money. We could easily see 50% unemployment amount the mexican workers in this country, they are working all sorts of jobs that depend on a strong economy and any down turn hits those types of jobs first.Than add in the way people are inclined to look out for their own and the mexicans will be screaming discrimination, when they apply for work and don't get it.

Maybe I need to rub your nose in it? Try again. Non Citizens does not equal Illegal Aliens. How would you define a non-citizen? :?

RABELAM- 06-23-2007

How would you define a non-citizen? Any immigrant that entered this country legally and is registered as alien. The Armed Forces have accepted these folks as far back as I can remember. I knew one that served two tours in VietNam. We allowed the criminal type to enlist as compared to a jail term also. This stuff ain't nothing new.

They did so by using Senate rules to insist that the entire 373-page package be read aloud, relenting only when Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., agreed to postpone action on the amendments. That was just the first in a series of formidable obstacles lying in the bill's path. The Senate is slated to consider 26 amendments, mostly from senators seeking to change key elements of the bill, that have the potential to either sap its support or draw new backers. 373 pages isn't enough, so they try adding more to it why not make it simple, it they can get here and come up with $5,000 to bribe the government for citizenship, they are good to go. I mean $5,000 to apply for citizenship and they pass a back ground check they are in. Maybe Amtrax can add a train in and out of mexico, it would be the only money making route they would have. Tickets to america $5,000

Jose and Carlos are panhandling at the freeway off ramp. They get to talking and Carlos learns that Jose drives a Mercedes, lives in a mortgage-free house and has a lot of money to spend. To top it off, Jose brings home a suitcase of $10 bills every day. Carlos says, "Man, I only bring in 2 to 3 dollars a day. How is it you bring home so much money?" Jose says, "Look at your sign." It reads: "I have no work, a wife & 6 kids to support." Carlos says, "So what does your sign say?" Jose turns his sign around so Carlos can see it and it reads: "I need only another $10.00 to move back to Mexico."

Reprinted from NewsMax.com Pro-Immigration Forces Back North American Union John O. Edwards Monday, July 9, 2007 America is finished. Mexico and Canada are gone too. In their place: One massive country, the North American Union (NAU), bordered by the Bering Sea to the north and Guatemala to the south, the Atlantic to the east and the Pacific to the west. NAU citizens no longer spend dollars or salute Old Glory. They spend "ameros," and the flag that waves over its capitals shows the entire Western Hemisphere. The national borders of the United States have been forever erased. While that scenario may sound far-fetched, critics of the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) warn that future could be here sooner than anyone realizes. President Bush, Mexican President Vincente Fox, and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin informally agreed to set up the SPP in 2005. Not so well known is the fact that supporters of the NAU concept slipped an initiative into the recently defeated immigration reform act. Largely unnoticed amidst the amnesty furor that ultimately sunk the Immigration Bill was the statement, "It is the sense of Congress that the United States and Mexico should accelerate the implementation of the Partnership for Prosperity to help generate economic growth and improve the standard of living in Mexico." The bill called for measures to boost the economy of Mexico, including: U.S. support for Mexico, to strengthen its education and training programs. A call for better health care for "poor and underserved" people in Mexico. And U.S. assistance to "establish a program with the private sector to cover the health care needs of Mexican nationals temporarily employed in the United States." The bill also called for U.S. assistance to Mexican businesses and government to eliminate corruption, which it termed, "the single biggest obstacle to development." "This was the first attempt by the SPP to go public, and it failed," says Dr. Jerome Corsi, author of The Late Great USA. They thought nobody would notice. They were wrong." Corsi called the sPP "a coup d-etat by bureaucratic means," adding that it works underhandedly like a shadow government. "It is an attempt to turn North America into something like the European Economic Community," he says, "which began with economic cooperation and expanded eventually to include a common market, and then a full-scale regional government replacing, in many ways, the governing powers of the member nations." Documents recently obtained by public interest group Judicial Watch reveal that "working groups" of the SPP are developing plans for U.S. taxpayer-funded initiatives to improve Mexico's infrastructure, within just six to 18 months. SSP plans include: Creating a North American Pandemic Influenza Plan; Facilitating cross-border travel; Establishing Social Security totalization for Mexican aliens working in the United States; Creating a Trans-Texas Corridor superhighway with truck, car, and train lanes running from Mexico to Canada. Following the 2005 tri-lateral summit, the three leaders agreed, "We will establish ministerial-led working groups that will consult with stakeholders in our respective countries. These working groups will respond to the priorities of our people and our businesses and will set specific, measurable, and achievable goals." The working groups include committees on "Manufactured Goods and Sectoral and Regional Competitiveness, Movement of Goods, Energy, Environment, E-Commerce and Information Communications Technologies, Financial Services, Business Facilitation, Food and Agriculture, Transportation and Health," according to the SPP Web, www.spp.gov. "Basically, the SPP eliminates borders," Dr. Corsi tells NewsMax. "Just as in Europe, once free-flowing cross-border travel and full economic cooperation are established, the next step will be multi-national regulations and multi-national court systems to resolve disputes, with powers that supercede those of U.S. courts in many cases." Opponents of the NAU slipping its provisions into a bill sold as way to strengthen the integrity of the nation's borders reflects the determination of those pushing a North American union. The SPP has struck back with a FAQ section on their U.S. website, www.spp.gov, which attempts to counter "myths" of its ultimate aims, stressing that the SPP "does not change our courts or legislative processes and respects the sovereignty of the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The SPP in no way, shape or form considers the creation of a European Union-like structure or a common currency." As to charges that the SPP is being undertaken without the knowledge of the Congress, the FAQs state, "US agencies involved with SPP regularly update and consult with members of Congress on our efforts and plans." SPP confirms that the SPP is a "White House-driven initiative. In the United States, the Department of Commerce coordinates the ‘Prosperity' component, while the Department of Homeland Security coordinates the ‘Security' component. The Department of State ensures the two components are coordinated and are consistent with U.S. foreign policy." "They deny it – of course they do, but the ultimate direction of all these actions is driven by a one-world view," Dr. Corsi says. Corsi contends that President Bush has a secret agenda to dissolve the United States of America into the North American Union. "However, as more people in the United States are becoming aware of the goals of the SPP, grassroots opposition to the SPP is growing very fast." One example: 12 states are currently considering resolutions opposing the establishment of the NAU. There is a federal effort to block the SPP as well. It is spearheaded by a resolution, HCR 40, which states, "The United States should not allow the Security and Prosperity Partnership to implement further regulations that would create a North American Union with Mexico and Canada; and the President should indicate strong opposition to these acts or any other proposals that threaten the sovereignty of the United States." The resolution also calls for the U.S. to not "engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement Superhighway System." The resolution notes that "reports issued by the SPP indicate that it has implemented regulatory changes among the three countries that circumvent U.S. trade, transportation, homeland security and border security functions and that the SPP will continue to do so in the future." The bill is sponsored by Rep. Virgil Goode, R-Va., who tells NewsMax, "I hope that more Americans will become aware of the Security and Prosperity Partnership, which will lead to a North American union and the destruction of the sovereignty of the United States." Cong. Goode, who opposed the Immigration Bill saying it would be "a disaster to our nation if it were to become law," says his resolution has attracted over two dozen co-sponsors so far. "Defeat of the Immigration Bill was a setback for the supporters of the SPP, but they won't just give up and go away," Corsi warns. "There is a huge amount of international capital driving this. They will not give up easily." © NewsMax 2007. All rights reserved.

Person of Interest Held in Case of Missing Washington 12-Year-Old Girl Wednesday, July 11, 2007 ISSAQUAH, Wash. — A convicted sex offender is in custody as a person of interest in the case of a missing 12-year-old girl — and Tacoma police said Wednesday that the man being held is not the only lead in the case. Investigators are still tracking down information coming from requests for tips from the public about Zina Linnik, according to spokesman Mark Fulghum. Linnik was abducted near her home the night of the Fourth of July. She had been watching fireworks when a family member heard her scream and saw a van speed away. The person of interest is a 42-year-old sex offender from Thailand. He's currently being held for failing to register for an immigration violation and denies any involvement in Zina's disappearance. A search warrant reports investigators on Monday found a girl's undergarments at his home, where he lives alone. He responded to that news by saying he was remodeling the home for his sister. Investigators also seized a gray van to search for evidence, and the man admitted he had recently changed the license plate. A tip led investigators to search Tuesday at the Tiger Mountain State Forest near Issaquah. A helicopter and dozens of people, some with dogs, took part in the search. Teams wrapped up late Tuesday night, and Fulghum reported police were checking a towel and trash that were found, but that the items may not be connected to the case. A command post has been set up along Highway 18, according to Fulghum. The FBI is helping with the investigation.

Americans Head for Canada Some of those Americans who warned they'd desert the U.S. For Canada if George Bush was re-elected in 2004 appear to have kept their word. New statistics show that U.S. Immigration to Canada in 2006 hit a 30-year high. According to the Toronto Star, an analysis of immigration statistics by the Association for Canadian Studies showed the number of Americans who moved to Canada in 2006 was almost double the number who moved north in 2000 when Bush was elected for a first term as U.S. president. The analysis also showed that most of the American migrants are highly educated people who may be moving to Canada for quality of life and social reasons. And while the numbers were not huge — 10,942 Americans moved to Canada last year — they were far smaller than the influx predicted when bogus maps of the United States of Canada began hitting the Internet in the waning days of the 2004 campaign. The day after Bush was re-elected president, there were 191,000 hits on Canada's immigration website, six times its average traffic, most of it from the U.S. The increase is symbolic, Jack Jedwab, the executive director of the association that analyzed the statistic told the Star. "Given that most of these immigrants are university-educated or better, you can assume they can find work in the U.S., so the move must be based on other reasons.'' He cited politics, healthcare, social issues, and possibly even the strengthening Canadian dollar as lures drawing Americans northward. Tom Kertes, who moved north last April from Seattle, Wash. did it because he wants to marry his male partner. He said he moved to Toronto with his partner Ron Braun and they plan to marry, something they could not do in Washington state. He added the war in Iraq and the torture of Iraqi prisoners by Americans — and the failure of the Bush administration to clearly disavow such practice — as contributing factors behind his migration northward. "Moving countries is not done lightly,'' he told the Star, explaining that he found the tolerance of Toronto welcoming and he thought Canadians were proud of their reputation for tolerance. The Star suggested that the most surprising aspect of the study is the attention it has received here in the U.S. where it was first reported by abcnews.com. Wrote the Star, "It has become a hit on the blogosphere where many Americans have reacted with venom to those who have left the country and some 80,000 persons voted on whether they would move to Canada within hours of the question being posted on an AOL.Com site. The newspaper quoted one blogger as writing "If every American who didn't like George W. Bush left the country, there would be no one here but illegal immigrants.''
