Lars is cool. 8) He is handing your booty to you Phil. Finally!!!!!!! After all of these years!!! Lars gets a groupie. He's posted so often, on so many forums for so many years that I'm surprised (not  ) that it's taken so long to finally find someone to look up to him. No! To idolize him as the Norse God he's become (in his own mind)!!! Good for you, PCP Bunny. Feel free to travel to northeast Florida and to worship at the Norse God's feet. Join the others who are worshipping there now at the Shrine of Lars. . . . . . . . . . Did I say 'shrine'?

That is funny Phil, now Lars is right up there with Ro, they both have a groupie following them around hanging on every word.

The revenue that they show me on the load assignments is a joke. Actually its more like a lie.....The last load I have done for TMC, was from Cleveland TN to Washingtonville PA. The place I picked up was one of TMCs regular accounts, so there was a few TMC trucks in there. When I got to PA to unload, I started talking to one of their drivers. I didnt ask him what that load payed him, but he volunteered the information. Turns out, his gross was a 100 dollars less, then what I got from TMC. Basicly, unless TMC was dipping in their own pocket (which I doubt) to cover this load, the gross was much more then what I got, and a whole lot more then what they told this TMC driver. I didnt talk long with this guy though, he was BBR through and through.

BUZZDOG WROTE I have a question and need advice. Where I am working for I am paid %. I am on a run that I was told by the company that pays $1653. The BOL shows the rate at $1819. The bills show the rate for the 100lb rate and it comes to $1819. I loaded in Pittsburg CA delivering to Santa Teresa NM (1200 miles approx) I do not think that the difference would be fuel surcharge, that would work out to about $0.10 a mile on the difference. Not to mention tarp fee. I have been told by a few drivers that the company is taking off the top through their in house brokerage. It would appear that this would prove it. Now my question is, do I have any legal recourse against the company? I have no plans or intentions of staying here long term. I am actually tempted to clean the truck out and go home when I go through the Indy terminal. I am withholding the name of the company at this time. A few of you know who I work for. I will give an obvious hint though. I pull a flat bed driving a black and chrome pete. A company review will be forthcoming in the newbie section very soon. Thanks in advance, Buzz Could someone PM this guy over there, and let him know to PM me here? Got a few questions for him, and perhaps may be able to give him some answers.

I have met many while I was driving who did just fine. They had adapted to the situation and were able to take whatever advantage they could and I don't think it takes much to become a big fish in that pond. In high school I worked at the parkway service plaza pumping gas. There was a couple of MEN working at the place pumping gas who had worked their way to the top. They made more per hour than me,got more hours a week than me and got better shifts than me, like wippydoo and goody for them. Reality was they where grown MEN working for chump change no matter how it was looked at. They could only think they where doing good by comparing themselves to high school kids. It's not an acheivement being top gas boy anymore than being one of the top dweller creatures. One upping uturnzero or big al isn't something to piss your pants about. It would be embarassing not to be able to do better than the average MORON in trucking.

I have put close to 20k on it. My YTD gross for loads is $5071. That is a little over $700 a week gross. I have been home for 3 days since being assigned my truck so it is not because I have been sitting at home. It is not because I have been sitting anywhere. I have constantly been on the move. The revenue that they show me on the load assignments is a joke. I have pulled flatbed freight on % before. When I did the truck was averaging $1.78/mile for ALL miles put on the truck. I am getting paid under $0.30/mile at the end of the day. I came up with .25cpm

Part Time Dweller- 03-17-2007

That is good, no? :P

Phil- 03-17-2007

That is good, no? :P Damned right it is!!!! At that rate, he'll be able to afford to put a porch on that single wide next year (that'll keep his washer from sinking into the mud when it rains).

Part Time Dweller- 03-18-2007

Now, when the porch is done, what is the proper arrangement? Washer on the right and toilet on the left? Or the other way around?

fattystools- 03-18-2007

I came up with .25cpm 3 words Zig: Shiny Black Pete's :o
